European vice captain Edoardo Molinari said the team is “in great shape” ahead of the 2025 Ryder Cup in US soil this September.
Molinari again became part of Beth Page Black’s Captain Luke Donald’s team and formed part of his support staff during his 2023 16.5-11.5 success in Rome.

Europe was beat conveniently in itself in its own right in the last two Ryder Cups, the final two Ryder Cups held in the US, a victory in the famous 2012 “Miracle at Medinah” but is once again optimistic in 2025.
Rory McIlroy won the Masters – along with the Players Championship and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro – along with Am – completed a career grand slam, and Sepp Straka, Thomas Detry, LudvigÅberg and Viktor Hovland also won the PGA Tour this season.

“I think our team is in great shape,” Morinari said on the Sky Sports Golf Podcast. “There are a lot of people who play a lot these days, even some of the non-superstars in Rome.

“Thomas Detley hadn’t won the PGA Tour yet, and he managed to score his first victory for Phoenix.
Molinari doesn’t worry about the shape of the Ram
John Rahm was certainly one of the superstars of the European team in Rome two years ago, and two major winners were unbeaten by securing three points from his four matches.
The Spaniard has only won two LIV golf tournaments since his exile in the Saudi Arabia-backed league in late 2023.
John Larm says that the final Ryder Cup will be the best golf experience of his life and hopes to be part of the team again in New York in 2025.
“not much [concerned]”Molinari spoke about Rahm’s match. “John loved the Ryder Cup so it’s probably going to take shape later this summer – I’m pretty sure about it.
“I feel like there are seven or eight guys that are predictable every year, and there are a few that are off the field, and I think it’s the same this time.
“Hopefully, we hope all the top guys have in the best form of their lives, but a team full of them has a strong team that can fight against the very strong American side.”
Luke Donald looks back at how he led Team Europe to the success of the Ryder Cup in Rome
New York’s Beth Page Black is expected to play host to the noisy home crowd when the Ryder Cup takes place from September 25th to 28th, but despite Europe’s struggle against US soil during his recent visit, Morinali believes he can cope with the hostile atmosphere.
“I think it’s just controlling what you can control,” he said. “You can’t control the crowd, but you can control how you behave and how you react to the crowd. There’s a lot you can do to ensure that it doesn’t affect you.
“I think we are ready, we are ready, we know it can be loud and very difficult, but sometimes there are difficult opportunities.
“If you make a birdie and place blue on the board, the noise level drops very quickly.
“Like I said, it’s going to be tricky, it takes a lot of patience, a lot of determination, a lot of grit and effort, but we’ll do our best.”
Molinari hints McIlroy again with Quail Hollow
Molinari also reacted to McIlroy’s famous Masters victory at Augusta National last month, becoming the sixth golfer in history to complete a career grand slam, earning “again” live at Sky Sports Golf from Thursday, May 15th.

“It was great because Rory won. [The Masters]”Molinari said.
“We were able to see how much it meant to him, it took a long time and was really good to see.
“He now has a lot of weight off his back. He can play a little more freely – especially in the majors – and wouldn’t be surprised if he’s there again in Quail Hollow. He loves it.
“It’s a course he played before and definitely a course that suits really good people from him and the tee. I’d like to see what happens next week. I think it’ll be a great second major this year.”
