The Jubaland Government’s Ministry of Planning, Investment and International Cooperation recently held a key conference at Doolow, GEDO region, to discuss the Boresha (NABAD) project.
The initiative is set up to benefit communities living in the border areas of Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia, especially those located in three-way border areas.
The conference was chaired by Abdirizack Suleiman Adan, GEDO Regional Coordinator for the Department of Planning, Investment and International Cooperation. Regional and district coordinators of Doolow and Beledxaawo and officials from various ministries including agriculture, livestock, commerce, energy and water, youth, and Doolow district management were present.
The discussion focused on the importance of the Community Boresha (NABAD) project. The project aims to enhance resilience to natural disasters such as droughts and floods, while also promoting local economic development and job creation.
This initiative is important for a sustainable livelihood for the region and ensures that communities can withstand future challenges and thrive economically.
The conference also emphasized the importance of collective efforts and cooperation among various government ministries, local governments and the international community to successfully implement the project and achieve its objectives.
