Southwest state President Abiaziz Raftagary arrived in Mogadishu’s Somali capital earlier today. His arrival marked the beginning of a prominent meeting with leaders of South West Province (KGS), Garmdugu and Hirshabel, before President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
The conference will be held in a sincere and diplomatic atmosphere and will serve as a precursor to a larger, upcoming national dialogue aimed at resolving political conflicts and addressing the broader challenges of the country.
The dialogue brings together leaders of the Somali Federal Government (FGS), local states and opposition politicians.
The discussion focuses on finding solutions to the ongoing political tensions between country leadership and addressing important issues affecting national stability.
Jubaland President Ahmed Madobe, who is yet to be recognized by the FGS following the conflict and political conflict with the opposition, has expressed his support for the proposed consultation and showing his willingness to engage in dialogue.
However, the status of Pantoland, another important regional nation, remains unknown. Because they have not yet taken a decisive stance on the issue.
As the political situation in Somalia continues to evolve, all eyes will be the result of this important national dialogue. This is considered an important step in achieving lasting peace and stability in the country.
