Banadir Local Government and Mogadishu city officially controlled the homes in Hamal Jajab district following the joint security report by Banadir Police Command and the Ministry of Internal Security in Somalia.
The property is said to have been used in activities that are considered a threat to national security.
Speaking to local media, Banadil Regional spokesman Saalax Omar confirmed the seizure of the property through an order issued by the Regional Governor Banadil, who serves as mayor of Mogadishu.
The home, located in the heart of the capital, reportedly belonged to a Somali woman identified as Pharma Waltham Kabayare.
Authorities have not made detailed information about certain activities carried out at the residence.
However, authorities cited serious concerns over its suspected use of actions that undermine Somalia’s national security, including presumably explosives and illegal substances.
Sources who spoke to Hol on condition of anonymity say the House is suspected to have been the adjustment point for the bombing attempt this March.
The attack, which took place in the same district of Hamal Jajab, is said to have targeted the escorts of a convoy escorting Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamd.
The official statute referred to the intelligence news collected by the Banadir Police and the Ministry of Internal Security, highlighting the role of property in jeopardizing public safety in Mogadishu.
The seized House is now classified as public property under the control of a regional administration and shows a firm stance against the misuse of private property for unstable activities in the capital.
