Fuel prices will drop sharply in April
According to the latest Central Energy Fund data, South African drivers were able to see a significant drop in fuel prices in April. Petrol prices are expected to decline between 85-98 cents per liter and diesel to 86-87 cents, IOL reports. This is due to a global economic slowdown and tariffs on the US major trading partners as international oil prices fall below $70 per barrel for the first time since September 2024.

The trial, held at the Western Cape High Court, involves Kelly, boyfriend Jakuen Apolis and his friend Steveno Van Lin, who is facing charges of kidnapping and trafficking. Another officer is expected to present evidence as the case continues.
Ekurhuleni bus crash drivers face past homicide charges
Ekulphreni City bus drivers involved in a fatal collision at near R21, which claimed 13 lives or Tambo International Airport, face criminally possible murder charges, EWN reports. The bus that transports 88 passengers from Catrejon to Kempton Park has been confirmed to be suitable for the road using a valid fitness certificate issued in February. Gauteng Prime Minister Panyaza Lesufi has announced that police have launched a lawsuit against the driver as the crash investigation continues.
