It happened a month ago, but it’s still confusing why the Dallas Mavericks traded Luka Doncic for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Maverick has come up with various reports of conditioning and lack of work ethics and has done everything he can to abandon Donsic on his way out the door.
But even if they are true, Doncic is only 26 years old and has already been named to the All-NBA first team five times. He’s on track to become one of the best players ever.
Outside of the Mavericks front office and ownership, we consider the rest of the world to be a bad thing for Dallas. This includes Southwest Airlines, which went to social media to troll the Mavericks when it announced its new checkbag policy.
Despite making jokes at Mavericks’ expense, Southwest Airlines is currently gaining a lot of backlash itself against this new policy where check bags aren’t free. They’ve been selling themselves for decades as the only airline that won’t be billed for check bags, but that’s not the case anymore.
Southwest Airlines is headquartered in Dallas, so anyone who posted it could potentially be that Mavericks fans are still upset by the deal.
However, Don Sic is with the Lakers, and early reports show that he enjoys his time and plans to stick in the long term after moving into his new home.
Anthony Edwards is researching Luka Doncic to help double teams
Despite the Mavericks trading him for the Lakers, Luka Donsic still has a reputation as one of the best young players in the NBA. In fact, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards recently revealed that he is studying Don Chic to improve his double-team defeat.
“Watch the movie. Me and C. Hines are just watching the movie all the time,” Edwards said. “Look at the open lead now. I know Roman is there. Every time the corner opens, they start to spin pre-rotate into the corner, the wings are open. I read a bit, then see how other players double, see how to attack it, see how to try and manipulate it. Especially Luka, I’m looking at a lot of Luka. I see how he attacks double teams, even if we’re playing a different pace, just looking at his strategy to defeat the double teams, and that helps me a lot.”
