stretch. work. play. repeat.
Operationally and philosophically, the Mantra encapsulates everything that is the stretch zone, the only nationally accredited practitioner support franchise currently open to mentors.
According to owner/operator Steve Sheehee and daughter Kelly, Stretch Zone “provides a unique approach to improving mobility and offers customized stretch plans designed to meet the specific needs and goals of our members.”
Featuring patented equipment and unique training methods, the brand adopts a science-supported approach, employing stretching, allowing muscles to relax and move freely, increasing flexibility and mobility.
“Our family is committed to improving the lives of the people in our community, both in fitness and philanthropy,” said Kelly, director of communications.
“And the stretch zone is an opportunity to leverage the fitness side of its commitment by introducing the benefits of stretch supplies to northeast Ohio.”
Founded in 2004 by Jorden Gold, a 4,000-square-foot studio that employs 10 people, it is the 388th location in 41 states.
Sheehys noted that it comes from a “very diverse background” including information technology, project management and business operations.
“We truly believe in stretch zone methodology and by leveraging our incredible local passionate talent, the transition from one industry to the next was seamless,” Kelly said.
“The stretching method tries to make you more flexible and we’re working to adjust the stretch reflex,” she added. “In this way, the stretch zone method gradually increases the active range of motion.”
Stretch Zone provides monthly membership packages and system-wide access to help clients access stretch sessions anywhere in the country.
“We aim to provide the first-ever customer service experience in our class and help our members achieve their wellness goals through healthier movements,” Steve explained.
“Through the process of preparing our studios to open, we had the opportunity to travel to other studios across the country and were featured by incredible owners and wellness experts who are passionate about promoting healthy movements in our communities.”
Steve pointed out that cooperation with local businesses also led to the efforts.
“We are proud to work with the development of veterans and building mentors, and maintaining the rough neon signs and lighting in Paynesville,” he said. “We are also honored to be part of the revitalization of Mentor Corner Plaza, which has opened three new businesses over the past 90 days.
“My mentor has long been a positive impact on my family and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back by creating job opportunities and providing a wellness concept that adds value to the community.”
The stretch zone, which will host the ribbon cutting ceremony on May 27th, is located at 8900 Mentor Avenue in Unit D.
The studio is open from 8am to 7pm on weekdays and from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays.
Your first visit is free for all new stretch zone members.
