ZANZIBAR – Showtime, the management company of Zanzibar, was a prominent success in 2025, Cardiotan, a groundbreaking science programme conference specializing in cardiovascular complications efforts.
The honorable man, held in Zanzibar on April 12th and 13th this year, brought together heart experts from around the world, with a special focus on addressing the unique challenges faced by the African population.
Professor Peter Kisenge, executive director of the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI), has expanded his gratitude to all participants for their valuable support in improving the lives of children in Tanzania who are suffering from heart disease.
He said, “JKCI is currently active in Malawi, Comoros and Zambia and has had such a profound impact in Burkina Faso, expanding its reach by the President sending a team of cardiovascular experts to learn from the JKCI’s exemplary structure and service.
Speaking at the launch of the conference, Dr. Delilah Kimambo, conference coordinator, spoke, highlighted the fact that international heart experts praised the presence of JKCI’s top global experts, confirming their position as a major training ground for new and technology in cardiac care.
“Thanks to the substantial government investment, new procedures are being carried out at JKCI, focusing on solving the looming issues of diagnosis and service delivery,” she said Deputy Minister of Tanzania, Dr. Godwin Morell, “with the intention of JKCI committing to committing to providing services to Africa by providing the best practice procedures.

Zanzibar’s Deputy Health Minister Hassan Kamis Hafid said that both the union government and the Zanzibar government are working together to attract investment in the health industry to improve the quality of cardiovascular services across the region. He added that.
“Participate at Cardiotan 2025 to advance cardiovascular care and unite to improve health outcomes for the African population,” he pleaded.

The conference was launched by Zanzibar’s second vice president, Hemed Suleiman Abdullah. He reaffirmed the commitment of both the Zanzibar and the Union government to strengthen aerobic services across Tanzania and the continent. He emphasized the importance of supporting research efforts to improve cardiovascular health and called on development partners to increase JKCI support.
