Dallas – Conor McDavid had a breakaway goal with the Edmonton Oilers looking back at the momentum.
McDavid scored that big goal in the second term after a previous assist after 40-year-old Corey Perry scored again, moving on to his second Stanley Cup final after beating the Dallas Star 6-3 on Thursday night in Game 5 before winning the West final.
When McDavid accepted the Clarence S. Campbell Bowl, he happily placed his hand this time.
“I think it’s pretty obvious to me,” McDavid said of what’s different from the end of last year’s West Finals. “Don’t touch it last year. You won’t win. Please touch it this year. Hopefully you will win.”
