Lake Charles, La. (KPLC) – Southerly Winds returned to SWLA on Tuesday, which increased humidity levels. Some patchy mist may be seen due to the increased humidity.

Wednesdays start with temperatures in most areas in the 50s and warm up from the mid- to late 70s by the afternoon. The south winds continue to increase humidity.

Rain is not expected during the day, but by evening you may see several showers thanks to higher-level disturbances across the area. It’s likely that rain will fall north of SWLA, but at least the Parish of Vernon, and perhaps Beauregard and Allen, will rain overnight.
It should rain before sunrise on Thursday morning, and the temperatures will warm in the afternoon, reaching the low 80s in most areas!

You may be able to see some isolated showers on Friday ahead of the cold front that won’t travel until Saturday evening. Scattered showers were a little more likely on Saturday, with the chance of rain rising to 40%. There is a high chance of rain coming north of SWLA. Another problem is the possibility of bad weather, and the risks are likely to lie north of SWLA.

It would be good to expect cool mornings from Sunday to early next week. We may reach the 40s by Monday due to morning lows. However, afternoons still have to be warm and high in the mid- to mid-70s.
Another front could arrive by mid-week in a similar setup on the front on Saturday.
