Beyoncé’s love story might have had a completely different soundtrack – she was actually torn between Jay Z and another guy, so she had to bring her mom in for a decision.
The singer’s mom, Tina Knowles, spilled tea in her new memoir “matriarch,” reveals that while Beyoncé bonded with Jay-Z on the phone at the time, she was juggling another man in the industry at the same time.
Tina detailed… Bey and Jay said they had given each other solid advice about the industry in 2001, and their friendship began to run deeper as their phone chat continued.

Beyoncé tells her mother that Jay thought was very good, but it wasn’t all smooth sailing – she was also chatting with another guy who definitely wanted more.
When both Jay Z and the other guys appear in town at the same time, things become real and a panicked Beyoncé calls her mother and says she doesn’t know what to do.
Tina Straight Up asked which she likes more… and she could say that Beyoncé was thinking it.
