Many world leaders and royal families gather in Rome for Pope Francis’ funeral.
Among the most notable figures on St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican on Saturday morning were Prince William, US President Donald Trump and his predecessor, Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Kiel and Emmanuel Macron.
Their attendees have come at a time of fragileness due to international diplomacy, and Trump meets with Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky before serving.
Here are some photos of VIP participants.
Ten seats between Trump and Zelensky are far away
Trump was in the front row seat near Francis’ co, and along with his wife Melania Trump, crossed the aisle of Macron and his wife Bridget.
Interestingly, he and first lady Melania sat between two stubborn supporters in Ukraine. Estonian President Ara Karis was on the left of Melania, while Finland’s Alexander Stubb was on the right of Trump.

Estonia and Finland are solid allies of another man in the moment Zelensky attended, looking gloomy at the Vatican. He was sitting in the same row as Macron, separated by several other high-ranking officials.
Zelensky, who has been locked up in negotiations and public debate with Trump in recent weeks, has only 10 seats in the same row and one aisle from him.

Seat Planning
The VIP was in a separate section from the hundreds of thousands of public members who descended to Rome for the event.
The senior official sat on the right side of the square next to St. Peter’s Cathedral.
The best seats were Frances’ indigenous Argentine president Javier Miley, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Italian President Sergio Matarera, representing the country surrounding the Vatican city.
Behind them were sovereigns ruled, with other delegations sitting alphabetically on other benches in French, the official language of diplomacy.
