Pinblet, No. 12 in the UFC Lightweight Rankings, called the match against Chandler the biggest of his career, with the Americans ranked 7th and fifth.
Chandler, 38, built a huge fan of the UFC in the Gung-Ho style, but the fanfare surrounding the charismatic pinblett has been called “the main event for people.”
Fans were standing up at the Caseyar Center as the smiling pinblet danced towards the Octagon, but the concentrated Chandler was intentionally draped with the American flag.
Chandler’s explosiveness was predicted to cause pinblet problems, but he navigated the contest at Aprem, continuing to lean Chandler at range, overtaking him to the ground.
Pinblet opened with a series of leg kicks before Chandler secured the first takedown of the fight, but he was unable to take advantage of the position.
The action went back to the ground in the second round, with Pinblet controlling the distance that caused Chandler’s problems.
Pinblett controlled the fight and the decisive blow was a moment away as he kneeled in the third round and opened a big cut under Chandler’s left eye.
As the Americans stumbled, Pinblett mounted full on the canvas and secured a takedown before finishing the way to finish the contest with a ground strike.
Pinblet celebrated when he cried out “What now?” Before dancing before the postwar interview, I went to the TV camera.
“Everything we did work with the team just happened here. This is how we win, we use the game plan, our fight IQ and beat people. Has anyone else been asked?” Pinblett said.
“I admire Dustin and Justin, but Charles is the biggest legend of them. He’s called the best submission artist the UFC has ever seen, but I dispute it – I’m here.”
