Kampala – KCB Bank Uganda, a leading regional financial institution, is proud to announce its participation as a major sponsor of the Kyambogo Ultra Challenge Run and continues its commitment to improving the health of Ugandans through sports. This year’s event, scheduled for May 3, 2025, will be held at Kyambogo University Sports Grounds starting at 6am.
For many years, KCB Bank has been a strong supporter of various sports initiatives in Uganda, including rugby, volleyball, golf, and motorsports. The Kyambogo Ultra Challenge Run highlights its commitment to fostering a culture of health and wellness for Ugandans. The event will accommodate both veteran athletes and casual runners, with three challenging distances selected for participants: 50km, 25km and 10km.

The head of marketing and communications emphasized the importance of the event when he said, “Our passion for supporting sports in the country is one of the ways we try to meet the promises of our brand.” I recall the profound impact that events like the Cambogo challenge in our community are mere challenges, exceeding limits, and how they are adopting human mental capabilities and capabilities for revival.
Individuals can register to participate via the KCBPay platform by paying a UGX 50,000 fee. Participants can conveniently purchase the kit by dialing *244 *9# and entering it into the merchant code 124810. This integration underscores KCB’s commitment to leveraging technology to simplify transactions and promote digital inclusion.
