The highly anticipated Gulu Music at the International Space Festival on Climate Change has been cancelled after organizer Bjorn Vido complained of being fraudulent, bullied and threatened while preparing for the July 2025 event.
In a WhatsApp message addressed to Gulu City Mayor Alfred Okwonga, Bjorn said he decided to look for another country to host the festival after being scam and bullied by his local partner.
“I fell in love with this place from the start and felt like I could settle here. Unfortunately, things have been developing in a different direction and I am not likely to find a new place and come back,” he said.
Bjorn explained that the reason for the sudden escape from Gulu and the cancellation of the three-day festival scheduled for July 4th-6th, 2025 was “we are bullied, scamned and threatened, so we can’t see any other option other than moving the festival to a safer place.”
Bjorn Vido claims that a group of local partners led by Tonny Olanya Olenge and Walter Pro scam over 92 million Ugandan shillings.
The cost breakdown is as follows: 160 million shrub, 6.5 million shrub for home furniture, 10 million shrub for security guards, and 2.5 million shrub plumbing the House.
He was also sought 1 million Shs for the deaths of a friend of Tony Oranya Orenghe, a friend of Walter Pro (Eezzy’s manager) for 500,000 shs, and 3.6 million Shs for fake work permits.
He further claims that 18.2 million shs has adjusted the ground costs of international and national journalists, Kaunda by Shs1.6 million shs (350,000 shs350,000 for police, 750,000 shs750,000 for chefs, 150,000 shs150,000 shs150,000 for slaughter goats and cows from teams
Additionally, it required SH6.5 million for food, an additional SH6 million for the extra food, and SH3 million for payments to the weather department.
He also claims Sh 25.5 million ($7,000) was filmed by Olenge, who was featured as the country director/coordinator of the Space Festival at a press conference held on Friday, March 28, 2025.
Additionally, Danish native Bjorn Vido claims that musician Laxzy Mover has fraudulently increased the amount agreed to from three artists (Eezzy, Eddie Wizzy and himself) from Shs 5 million to Shs 10 million.
“Additionally, Laxzy has signed an artist contract. The deals with Laxzy, Eddy (Wizzy) and Eezzy have each reached Sh10 million.

“No one gets it. We agreed to five million scrunchies, but now we saw the signature of a deal we’ve never seen before.”
Bjorn further stated that before leaving Gulu City, he had fired everyone except Tonny Olanya Olenge.
However, when contacted, Olenge asked the Bjorn Vido character, “Why did he run away rather than going to the right authorities?”
He said his team will provide a response to allegations filed by Bjorn Vido, which led to the cancellation of the festival aimed at raising awareness about climate change.
At the time of the press conference, it had not yet been revealed which country the music at the Space Festival would impress, but Bjorn said he would invite one Ugandan artist to attend and participate in the festival dated earlier than July 4-6, 2025.
