Val Kilmer was tired of rumors that he was a Hollywood diva and it was painful to work with…but one co-star and a friend tell TMZ it’s a total addict.
Danny Trejo, who was one of the “Heat” star-studded cast with Val, tells TMZ… Val got a bad rap because it was difficult to work with – but the icon wasn’t well maintained – he was a “perfectionist.” There is a big difference, DT reveals.
Sadly, we know… the legendary actor passed away on Tuesday at the age of 65 – his death sends shockwaves through Hollywood.
Danny wanted to set the record straight, but that Val was cool for everyone on the movie set. And that’s not the same as the stars are blowhard for ego.
Emphasizing what the thoughtful man Val actually emphasizes, Danny shared one of his favourite memories from their days in “Thermal” – and it’s now a bit of a tearful jerker.

One day Val appears to wear a flashy, apparently very expensive leather jacket. And Danny commented on how much he liked him. The next day there was one in his trailer… a gift from Val.
Danny says it’s the only problem he’s had with Val before… His companion was not nominated for an Oscar as Dr. Holiday for “Tombstone.”
RIP VAL …We will be your Huckleberry.
