The wife of Weezer bassist Scott Schliner was shot by police during a wild chase in LA, and TMZ learned… and she was booked for an attempted murder.
California Highway Patrol and LAPD officials responded to hit and run Tuesday afternoon on a highway ramming through Los Angeles’ Eagle Rock area. Three suspects fled on foot – one rescued him from his car, climbed the embankment of the highway and headed to the streets of the residence.
The suspect stripped off some of his clothes and tried to blend in with his neighbourhood – that didn’t work.
Scott’s wife, Gillian Lauren, came out of the couple’s home as officers set up barricades and blocked the street… She began shooting guns, probably according to a law enforcement source.
Officers yelled her to drop the weapon, but officers said she ignored multiple orders and they tapped her on the shoulder and fired. She then returned home.

Half an hour later, Lauren and her babysitter appeared from the house with their hands raised and surrendered to the police.
Law enforcement tells TMZ that Lauren was taken to hospital and booked for an attempted murder.

Lauren has lived a colorful life… She wrote the book “Some Girls: My Life in a Harem.”
The incident has diminished as Weezer is scheduled to perform at Coachella this weekend.
The original suspect has been arrested…the other two are still loose.
