Boeser, drafted for Vancouver’s 23rd in the 2015 NHL Draft, has so far scored 204 goals and 434 points in 554 games. A top six scoring threat, Boser has the potential to generate elite playmaking skills and large numbers offensively. He scored his best year offensively in 2023-24, scoring 40 goals and 73 points in 81 games.

Boser never hit these marks again last season – settling down to 25 goals and 50 points in 75 games, but was second among his output teammates. He also plays a prominent role in Vancouver’s power play, and if he can create opportunities 5-for-5, he will make a real difference ahead of time for the Canucks.
This extension has a happy ending between Vancouver and Boser. When the regular season ended, Boser admitted that it was “hard to say” whether he would return to the Canucks. Boerser reportedly refused an extension offer with the club over the past five years, and Allvin considered his deal at the March trade deadline, but no Taker was there. Boser squealed and thudded to explore his options in the open market.
Ultimately, Boser decided to be placed by committing the best years of his career to the Canucks.
