Xavier Worthy and his former fiancee Tia Jones are opposed to each other’s lawsuit after they reached an agreement on Tuesday.
TMZ Sports has learned that as part of the deal that the two hit, Kansas City Chief Star has withdrawn his application for a protection order, similar to the lawsuit filed against Jones late last month.
In exchange, Jones is also pulling back applications for a permanent protection order she wanted for something worthwhile.
“I regret any misunderstandings and conflicts that occurred during my relationship with my ex-fiance,” Worthy said in a statement. “My legal representative also acknowledges that he may have made a public statement about my ex-fiance who intended to protect me, but intended to be false.”
“Ending a relationship that lasts more than a year can be an emotional experience, and sometimes words can be spoken out of wounds and frustration. This issue is now being resolved.”
“This issue has now been resolved,” added Angelica Colliano, Jones’ lawyer.
In her application for a protection order, Jones has accused her of deserving domestic violence several times. She said the worst case happened on March 7th… she claimed that “I didn’t give him and his new dog enough attention to the night after a long practice.”
Her claims led to Worthy’s arrest… However, the district attorney’s office said it reduced the lawsuit after further investigation into the matter.
Sometime after Jones submitted her application, the worthy one applied for his own protective order…and he sued her too. He accused her of tricking him, breaking his game room and tearing the dreadlock from his head. He also claimed that she had stole $300,000 worth of jewelry and other items from his home while he was in jail.
