Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has challenged information on social media regarding the alleged accusations of environmentalist Nadia Mabilacure’s accused of theft of trust property cases and said an investigation is ongoing.
Mabvirakure, who owns Green Rebirth Trust, a project that includes the Carbon Credit Tree Planting Initiative, is said to have been accused of being accused of being accused of Chitungwiza’s home on March 5, before being discovered at Mutare five days later.
At a press conference held in the capital on Tuesday, Green Rebil Strast board member Abigail Mpanbi said Mabubirakur was found in shock and accused Zanu PF member Baturai Mattiza of holding acquiring the hands of the aiding.
“Through the project, Mattiza has never visited, but for the first time during Nadia’s loss of fishance, he took a photo and posted it on social media in celebration mode.
“It’s very primitive when we’re looking for women who have invested a lot in national development,” Mpanbi said.
In a statement, police spokesman commissioner Paul Nyaty said the information was misleading.
“This information misleads the public with its precise location on the ground and police investigations.
“Vongai Nadia Mabvirakure is the suspect in violation of Section 113 of the Criminal Code (Codification and Reform) Act. Chapter 9:23, “Theft of Trust Property.”
“The petitioner is Tikhabaiwa Gwadu, representing the Matthiza Foundation.
“In September 2024, the suspect formed a partnership with the Mattisa Foundation through her company, Green Liberus Strast, to build a net for a greenhouse or shed at Chom Apunga Business Centre in Murewa,” Nyati said.
According to ZRP, Mabvirakure was given US$15,200 in cash to obtain the required material based on the quote.
“In exchange for cash to Brickforce Hardware in Moulewa, the suspect turned the money into personal use and acquired building materials on credits pretending to be false under the Mattisa Foundation.
“Brickforce Management later contacted the Matiza Foundation Company, filed a complaint and requested payment.
“The report was then prepared in ZRP Murewa,” Nyathi said.
Nyathi added that Cid Murewa’s team checked the suspects on March 5, 2025 at a known address on Chitungwiza.

“They couldn’t find her. They were told by her son, Patrick Mabiracule that his mother was away.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police later found the suspect. She is currently in the hospital under police,” he said.
Nyathi said a full-scale investigation is currently underway in connection with theft of the trust property case and allegations of her family.
Linda Masarira, a part of Mabvirakure’s search party, shot Nyathi back and accused him of lying.
“@policezimbabwe is not ashamed of you to lie to the world. I spent the day looking for a safe hospital for Nadia. I was there when the police officers came to get her statement, and they can come to your office because you are not doing due diligence. She wrote to X.
Mashura Akaboiliswa. @policezimbabwe Are you ashamed to lie to the world? I spent the day looking for a safe hospital in Nadia. I was there when the police officer came to get her statement and they couldn’t do because she was confused. Why isn’t Nyathi doing this… https://t.co/rxqy5pvdoe– Linda Tsungirirai Masarira (@lilomatic) March 11, 2025
