The Zimbabwean musician expressed his grief and sadness after the death of Sungura artist Tatenda Pinisi, who was involved in a road traffic accident near Norton on Friday evening.
The accident claimed the lives of three people, including two band members and a female passenger greeted at Harare Show Ground on their way to Kadoma.
Pinjishi suffered head injuries and multiple fractures, died at Sally Mugabe Hospital, where he was in intensive care unit.
In a post on her Facebook page, Sungura Maestro Alick Macheso said Pinjisi’s death came as a shock to the musical fraternity.

Dendera musician Sulumani Chimbetu said, “I am deeply saddened by the passing of my fellow musician Tatenda Pinjisi, who succumbed to injuries caused by a road accident.
“I sincerely sympathy to Pinjisi’s family, his brother and fellow artist Howard Pinisi, and the family of three other victims. May their souls rest in peace.”
Gospel musician Dorcas Moyo also wrote a heartfelt message that she would miss the hilarious artist who always encouraged her on her musical journey.
“It is a heavy heart to say good night to my dear brother Tatenda Pinjisi. Your laughter and kindness will be etched in my memory forever.
“You had a unique way of making everyone feel seen and loved, and your absence will leave a blank that will never be satisfied.
“Nematmbudziko is also a member of Naisson Tembo’s Family Nemmuwe Band. Nyarajwai Nashe. My heart is bleeding. Good night.”
Pinjisi was popular with the song “Saina” from his debut album “Rumbidzo Kumusiki”.
