Thai citizens were arrested yesterday after finding out that four suitcases containing a large amount of high quality cannabis were owned at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport.
In a statement, Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the arrest that the suspect had jumped into the country from Thailand.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officials discovered four suitcases that allegedly contain high-grade cannabis, commonly known as “Skunky Dagga.”
“ZRP arrested two foreigners at RGMI airport, who had come to Zimbabwe from Thailand for drug trafficking. The foreigners owned the following four suitcases:
1st Monarch: 18.5kg loose skunkydaga
Second Monarch: 17kg loose skunkydaga
Third Monarch: 18.4 kilogram loose skunkydaga

The total distance corresponds to 70 kilograms of skunk cannabis, a powerful variant known for its strong odor and high tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content.
The suspect’s identity and nationality have not been released yet, and police say an investigation is ongoing.
“Details will be released soon,” ZRP added.
